| Welcome |
Omega Phi Alpha
We are a co-ed fraternity located in Brooklyn, New York at Polytechnic Institute of New York University. We are a family that cares, helps out, and respects one another.
Due to this, we can accomplish anything and still have fun. This is an organization that has come together in 1986 by people who felt that they did not believe in the values that other fraternities; therefore, organized their own fraternity that today is a strong empire, and will be as future goes on.
Omega Phi Alpha has been a valuable step into adulthood and professionalism for Polytechnic students for over sixteen years. As we grow as a fraternity,
each semester we initiate new members who find a place where they are accepted as individuals and encouraged to grow into the leaders of tomorrow.
Our fraternity recognizes the importance of academics as well as a social atmosphere for college students, and provides the opportunity to experience
both at their finest degree. As a group, we study with each other, pass on experiences to younger members, provide job opportunities, and seek to
connect both members and non-members to maximize their performance in the academic world and beyond.
In addition to our studies and social lives, Omega Phi Alpha members also recognize their role in the community. Each year, multiple charitable events are held to raise money. These events range from simple clothing and food drives to more elaborate plannings such as concerts, and sporting events, with all
proceeds going to a worthy cause. This invaluable service is one of the many reasons Omega Phi Alpha's standing in the community has been known for years. Most importantly, members of Omega Phi Alpha learn to trust and respect each other in an almost contagious way. As a brother or sister, we find it hard not to offer help to one we may not know, or to support a friend or relative when needed.
This is the true definition of brotherhood, a word almost synonymous with Omega Phi Alpha.
