Originally founded at Polytechnic University's Farmingdale, Long Island Campus in 1986, Omega Phi Alpha, now located at Poly's Brooklyn, New York campus, is still growing strong. The co-ed fraternity that plays together stays together, and OPA goes one step further in encouraging its new and old members to redefine themselves in the areas of work, education, and personal dedication with mutual encouragement and opportunity. These are the values that still remain true to OPA, now over twenty-years-old from its first fledgling days.
Yet, the ties that bind us only enliven and enhance our enjoyment in each other's company. With us you will never find stiffness or cold formality that can't be overturned by a warm joke. However, we know enough not to cross personal lines. How? Here, perhaps more than any other fraternity is a diverse group of people who are adamant about unity without compromising any individual's sense of self or right to be respected. Yes, we work together for one another, our fraternity, and the community as a whole: but each of us does so freely and without contempt. That is Omega Phi Alpha's unity; value each part beyond the whole and what a force they make
